Meet The L.A. Playboys: Jason Boyd, Drums

Jason Boyd was born in Dothan, Alabama and grew up in the music industry. Jason's father was a touring artist and performer playing with bands such as Quick, High Roller, and Standing Ovation, He also played with bands (and members of) Atlanta Rhythm Section (ARS), The Candymen, Little River Band, and The Platters. Growing up in the recording studio and being surrounded by incredible musicians, Jason started playing with several popular bands in the southeast area. He was a founding member of Spoonful James and The Mutt Brothers. Jason has also shared the stage with bands such as B.B. King, Foghat, Peter Frampton, Course of Nature and Kenny Wayne Shepherd to name a few. Jason has recorded with members of ARS. The Candymen, Beaverteeth, BJ Thomas, Granger Smith, Stoney Larue and Course of Nature. After living in Houston, TX where he had the honor of touring with a number of Texas country artists, he is back home playing the drums with the L.A. Playboys as well as drummer for Wiregrass Church.
